| Backstage are the men (and women) in black.
They wear black to be (nearly) invisible to the audience. The
SJDT Nutcracker stage crew consists of a mix of professionals and volunteers.
Professionals handle heavy duty and specialized tasks. The considerable
volunteer work is worth the Dega-esque moments. Like all SJDT volunteer
activities, it is invaluable in providing a showcase for these talented
and inspirational children, helping the dancers to share their holiday
happiness with the appreciative audience. |
