San Jose Dance Theatre invites the Girl Scouts, their families, and friends to the 54th production of The Nutcracker!

Please join us as we celebrate 54 years of magic. For $40 per guest, you will receive a “B” ticket to The Nutcracker, and a special Nutcracker activity patch!

Good seats still available for all performances! Money from every ticket goes back to the Girl Scouts of Northern California!

As long as you received an email confirmation after placing your order, your purchase is complete and will be processed in the order in which it is received. You’ll receive an email update once your seats have been assigned.

You can pay to have your tickets mailed or you can pick them up at will call the day of the show.

Girl Scout tickets are $40 per person. For this price, you receive a “B” ticket, meaning that you will be seated in the best available seats in what is normally priced as a $60 seat. This ticket price includes a ticket to the Nutcracker performance, and a Girl Scout Badge for your Girl Scout(s).

For $2 extra per person, you can purchase a backstage tour and see the behind-the-scenes of the production.

Absolutely! Every person in your group will attend the backstage tour (if purchased) and performance, and receives the same Girl Scout ticket rate. Only Girl Scouts will receive a badge.

The backstage focuses on educating Girl Scouts about the behind the scenes aspects of our production. They will go on a behind-the-scenes tour of the theatre, and get to see the inner workings of The Nutcracker by viewing sets, costumes, and more!

The backstage tour is about 30 minutes long, and the performance is two hours long, which includes a 20-minute intermission.

Yes, backstage tours are $2 extra per person, but everyone in your group may go on the tour.

Backstage Tours are before each performance. You’ll receive an email with your assigned tour time after your order is processed or will receive an assigned tour time with your mailed tickets. Backstage Tours are typically 30 minutes long.

There is usually some time between, and we encourage Girl Scouts to grab a bite to eat during this time. Groups are welcome to attend the backstage tour and come back for their scheduled performance.

No. We sometimes have just a parent and Girl Scout, and other times there are groups of 40+. As long as you are a Girl Scout, then you may attend and do not necessarily have to attend with your troop. Either way, you must provide a troop number.

We recommend placing an order as a troop if you would like to sit together. Orders placed individually or added on are not guaranteed to sit together.

You will receive the next best available seats. We do everything we can to seat your group together, but the sooner you place your order, the better!

Badges will be distributed to the person who placed the ticket order on the day of the performance, before your workshop. All badges that are not picked up before the workshop begins will be available at the theatre’s lobby tour table.

Yes! Girl Scouts do not have to go on the Backstage Tour in order to receive badges.

Yes! We have a wonderful holiday Nutcracker boutique open at each performance that is full of Nutcrackers, ornaments, clothing, jewelry, and more. These make great souvenirs for your Girl Scouts to remember their Nutcracker experience! We accept cash and credit card.

For every Girl Scout ticket purchased, San Jose Dance Theatre will make a donation to the Girl Scouts. San Jose Dance Theatre values this long-standing relationship with the Girl Scouts!
