Dancer of the Month – April 2019

Twilight’s favorite roles that she has danced for SJDT are Dewdrop Fairy, Clara, Spanish Chocolate, and Snowflake. Her favorite classes at the studio are pas de deux and variations, because she loves pointe work and thinks it’s very beautiful. Twilight loves her dance friends! She says that they always have fun together and support one another. Twilight loves all of the teachers at SJDT, and thinks that they are all very supportive and caring. She especially appreciates Miss Mariana’s attention to detail in technique and how she offers small but impactful tips on improving artistry. Twilight also appreciates how Miss Linda is always pushing her students very hard, as she knows all of them very well, and understands how to bring out their best. Twlight always has fun in Mr. David’s classes too! 

Twilight has attended SJDT’s summer intensives for the past three years. Last year she also went to Oregon Ballet Theatre for two weeks. This summer she is extremely excited to attend the Rock School for Dance Education in Philadelphia for 5 weeks.

Twilight is in the seventh grade, and her favorite subjects are P.E. and wood shop. Dancing is her favorite hobby, but she also likes socializing with her friends, listening to music, riding roller coasters, and shopping.
